2020 Retreats and Exciting News
It’s hard to believe we are already heading into the winter months of 2019-2020. The past year seems to have flown by. We are thrilled to share that Bryana’s baby Graham Cook Ryan has finally arrived! After 41 weeks and 5 days, he made his grand entrance with eyes wide! Mom, Dad, and baby are all healthy, happy, and adjusting to new routines at home.
Graham Cook Ryan was born September 10th, 2019, just two days before his Mama’s birthday! He weighed 8lbs, 4oz and was 21.5” long.
We are looking forward to our events in 2020, and for the planners out there, we wanted to get the dates and information to you now so you can choose the retreat best suited to your interests and needs in 2020.
Please note that special guests and workshops are not lined up for 2020 yet. We will post updates to the events as we settle on workshop ideas, guest instructors, and special activities. Each retreat typically grows and evolves around a theme. If you are torn between retreats, it may be helpful to choose based on the theme that calls out to you!

You may enjoy reading about our retreat at Camp Bliss last year in this blog recap.
Unique Features: A time to deeply nourish the soul in spring before the hustle bustle of summer sets in. This retreat features a longer stay: 3 nights and 4 days. It also provides a bit more luxurious accommodations: private rooms, queen beds, all meals catered by local and organic Green Scene of Walker, MN, smaller group setting, and a very quiet and serene private location. This retreat offers some outdoor adventure options with beautiful private hiking trails, secluded lakes for canoeing/kayaking/paddle boarding, and the nearby Paul Bunyan bike trail.
The main focus is on disconnecting from outside stimuli, finding the quiet within, connecting with other likeminded folks, and relaxing. This retreat follows a soft pace with 2 hour-long yoga classes. Classes include nourishing, gentle movements, and plenty of meditation and pranayama (breathing). We plan to offer CEU’s for yoga teachers at this retreat. All-levels of yogis from beginner to experienced are welcome. Specialty workshops to be announced. Option to schedule an additional massage while at the retreat as well.
Group size: 20-30 participants
Rooms: private and semi-private options (bathrooms are private ensuite or shared depending on room selection)

Lastly, some exciting news from Amanda!
Amanda and her husband Andrew are expecting a baby in February 2020. Sadly, this means she will not be at the winter retreats this year. Joella and Bryana will have to step up their snowsuit games!
FAQs: So far I am feeling great. We are not going to find out the gender, much to the disappointment of my Mother-in-law. I have had some weird cravings.. For about three weeks I existed almost solely on pickles and watermelons. Lately I’ve been really into kale and apples. Taking things one day at a time and loving every minute.
