The Winter Retreats Bad News

Our beloved annual Winter Overnight Retreats are cancelled

After careful consideration, and continued conversations with our venue, we will not be hosting overnight winter retreats in 2021 due to COVID-19. Thank you for your understanding, interest, and continued support.


The Winter Retreats Good News!!!

Winter Day Retreats are ON!!!

We are thrilled to announce that we WILL be partnering with Deep Portage Environmental Learning Center to bring you two options for day-only retreats on January 30 and February 6, 2021. This is a brand-new option, with all of the elements you love about a winter retreat in the northwoods. Tickets will go on sale Small Business Saturday November 28 at 7:00am with limited availability. An intimate group of 20 participants only will be able to attend each of these day retreats. We are planning a covid-informed summer retreat schedule. Open spaces and outdoor activities.

Adventure Awaits Retreats in August

There is an ‘s’ at the end of retreatS because we are leading TWO retreats in August at Birchwood Wilderness Camp at the end of the Gunflint Trail.

Upcoming Yoga Teacher Training

Our first cohort is scheduled to graduate in May 2021. We have greatly enjoyed learning and growing with this group of students.

Virtual Yoga Options

We’ve got options! We know that in-person options are limited and tricky right now. We are sensitive and respectful of this, and are so pleased to have virtual options for you so that we can stay connected. We have a brand-new virtual on-demand Lakeside Series yoga package available NOW. We have another yoga package on the the way, and we also have live Zoom classes each week! Our Fireside Series on-demand yoga package will be available for pre-sale on Small Business Saturday November 28 at 7:00am with limited availability. With such a variety in availability to meet your scheduling needs, we hope that you are able to give us a try! We are so grateful that with many virtual yoga options out there, that you chose to stick to our little local, small business. Thank you, thank you for your support!

Bryana Cook

Bryana lives in a small, rural, northern Minnesota town called Longville; deep in the woods with her husband, 2 dogs, and cat. They all share a great love of northern Minnesota's woods and waters.

Bryana is a School Social Worker and also operates her own grassroots yoga business: Northern Namaste Yoga.

Bryana loves outdoor adventure, hiking through the trees, swimming in lakes, paddling, camping, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, walking with her dogs, sleeping, reading, journaling, gardening, laughing, and yoga. 

Bryana is a 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She teaches fluid vinyasa flow classes and gentle flow classes. Bryana has been practicing yoga for over 13 years: hatha, vinyasa, ashtanga, yin. She loves learning. One of the reasons she loves yoga is that the lessons of the practice are endless.
