The Cat’s Outta the Bag: retreat in Alaska
Around this time last year, Amanda and I confirmed a retreat we’d been dreaming of for years: ALASKA.
We booked the perfect venue. We celebrated, and then we nervously wondered how to invite people, and if anyone would want to come?!
Spoiler alert: it is already full!
We have a pretty plush “part 1”, and a very rustic “part 2” of the retreat. Part 1 takes place in scenic Seward, Alaska. Part 1 involves a water taxi to a private island with stunning kayaking + hiking and without running water or electricity! Both parts of our retreat includes seaside + mountains, a sauna with a VIEW and adventures galore.
We sent an announcement and application out to our Adventure Awaits Retreat Alum for this wild idea. We invited them to apply, and hoped that there were a few from the bunch that also shared our travel dreams. We intended to open up the remaining available spots to our wider Boreal Bliss audience.
Turns out, the retreat was WILDLY popular. The applications went nuts. We had to close it early because we had so many folks interested. We even expanded the retreat, booking neighboring VRBO’s on either side of our part 1 venue.
Wild North Alaska
We never announced this retreat publicly. It’s filled the brim and we are excited about our group traveling with us.
We also know there is a high interest in a repeat. We are tentatively planning another WILD NORTH - ALASKA retreat in 2026. You can sign-up for a private announcement of that on this specific email list. No official promises with this though! :)
We let the cat outta’ the bag on instagram to let you know that there ARE STILL SPOTS (although limited) available for our amazing Adventure Awaits Retreats this August!
Our Alaska trip, includes 30 Adventure Awaits alum. That means, we have more opportunity for brand-new Adventure Awaits retreaters to join us this August!
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness + Birchwood Wilderness Camp is a combination that cannot be beat. We hope that you join us this August!
Thank you for reading about our wild ideas. :)
