Boreal Bliss 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Hosting a 200-hour YTT is something we’ve been working on for the past two years. The process of building and planning a curriculum, and being accepted through Yoga Alliance is long. Planning where and how to deliver the curriculum requires extensive work as well. We were accepted a few months ago, and we have decided to go ahead and offer our first 200 hour YTT in late 2020 and early 2021.

You may have seen on our social media that we recently decided to reschedule all of our large group 2020 retreats to 2021. This was a difficult decision. It’s hard to let go. We did find there was relief in it though. It has brought us space to work on something that we have dreamed of for so long: in-depth study of yoga with small cohort of students. We look forward to retreating with you again in 2021, safely!

FYI - We do still hope to bring a small group to the BWCA in August and to Walker in October. Beyond that, we have found resolution and inspiration in shifting gears to give our full attention to our yoga teacher training program.

We are excited to use this time to shift our energy and attention toward cultivating deep and meaningful connections with our YTT cohort.

Yoga Teacher Training, why now?

We started the journey with Boreal Bliss 4+ years ago. Retreats allow us to share a little taste of in-depth training in small doses, one weekend at a time. Retreats allow us to connect broadly and widely.

Over the past few months our personal lives have contracted. We’ve moved from a broad range of connections and busyness to smaller spaces, and more time alone and in small groups. Similarly, we feel this is a good time to take our yoga practices deeper, to build meaningful relationships with a small cohort of empowered yogis.

Yoga Teacher Training allows practitioners to learn in-depth about the practice of yoga and yoga philosophy. The experience is transformative, emotional, empowering, and healing.

We have decided to deliver our training in a semi-immersion, retreat-style format. In addition, we will have supplemental virtual education. We think this will be the ideal method of delivery for in-depth study, and also true to our passion of retreating.

We will welcome a small cohort of yogis to gather with us for one long weekend in summer/fall, one full 10 day training in the fall, and another week of training in the spring (dates and details on our website). This opportunity to step out of your regular routine and into a yoga immersion experience will allow you to be fully present with the training experience. In-between in-person training, we also have live virtual and prerecorded curriculum for our students to complete.

Full information on the program, COVID-19 safety plans, and the application can be found on our website now with the link below. Applications are open until June 16th.

Thank you for your support!
